LOVE PEOPLE • SERVE COMMUNITIES • SHARE JESUS • MAKE DISCIPLES
God has brought the nations to our neighborhoods. World Outreach Evangelism (WOE) connects individuals, families, churches, and groups with meaningful opportunities to serve refugees and immigrants in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and beyond.
Whether you can give a few hours, serve once a month, or become a regular volunteer, there is a place for you.
Find Your Space to Serve
Prayer Walks
Walk through apartment communities praying for families, children, schools, leaders, and opportunities for the Gospel. Meet residents, listen to their stories, encourage them, and pray with those who welcome prayer.
Community Cleanup & Prayer Walks
Serve practically by picking up trash and beautifying apartment communities while praying for residents and building relationships. Great for families, churches, youth groups, and small groups.
After-School Homework & Tutoring
Help children and teenagers with homework, reading, math, English, school projects, and study skills. You do not have to be a teacher—patience and encouragement can make a tremendous difference.
ESL & English Conversation
Help refugees and immigrants improve conversational English, reading, writing, and confidence navigating everyday life in the United States.
Youth Mentoring & Recreation
Build relationships with children and teenagers through soccer, recreation, mentoring, Bible studies, camps, and community activities.
Family Friendship & Mentoring
Build meaningful friendships with refugee and immigrant families. Practice English, share meals, encourage parents and children, help families understand community resources, and be a welcoming friend.
Transportation & Practical Assistance
Help with approved transportation needs, job-search assistance, résumé help, basic computer assistance, driver's-license preparation, and connecting families with appropriate community resources.
Furniture & Household Assistance
Help pick up and deliver donated furniture and household supplies. Churches and small groups can also organize furniture and household-item drives.
Discovery Bible Study & Discipleship
Build relationships, share the Gospel, join or facilitate Discovery Bible Studies, disciple new believers, and encourage emerging leaders. WOE provides training for volunteers who want to learn.
Community Outreach & Special Events
Serve at back-to-school outreaches, Christmas events, camps, Vacation Bible School, community meals, children's activities, and other special events throughout the year.
Serve Together
Bring Your Church, Small Group, Family, or Team
WOE welcomes churches, small groups, Sunday school classes, youth groups, men's and women's ministries, families, businesses, and college groups. Teams can participate in prayer walks, community cleanup, apartment outreach, children's activities, sports, ESL, tutoring, furniture delivery, community meals, seasonal outreach, and special events.
Adopt an Apartment Community
Churches interested in deeper involvement can partner with WOE to build ongoing relationships in an apartment community through prayer, practical service, evangelism, Discovery Bible Study, discipleship, youth engagement, and leadership development.

Our
Story
Our Journey
The seeds of World Outreach Evangelism were planted in 2000 when our founder, Murama Rugumanya, served as a Christian leader at the National University of Rwanda. After relocating to the United States in 2002, Murama and his wife, Grace, continued their work with immigrant communities. In 2017, the ministry began taking shape in North Texas, focusing on refugees and immigrants from conflict-affected regions such as Congo, Syria, and Sudan.
By 2023, World Outreach Evangelism was formally registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and since then, we have expanded our reach, establishing home churches, mentoring programs, and community support initiatives. Through the grace of God, we have grown from a small effort into a thriving ministry that impacts lives across the United States and abroad.
